Not too shabby considering Easter and Spring break and such. So…NLP – good thing or bad thing? I saw a bit of ” I Can Make You Thin” with Paul McKenna on TLC during the break. I have to admit that I have tried the tapping technique he describes to short circuit binging. It kind of works. Mainly, I think it works because it puts some time between the intial urge and the actual accomplishment of it. Time to get distracted by something else or figure out a redirection of some kind. Is my mind really getting re-wired? I dunno, but it doesn’t appear harmful.
I think NLP can be a very powerful thing. It’s too bad people get weirded out when they hear “psychotherapy”. I don’t think people realize how powerful their minds are.
His 4 rules are genious in their simplicity I think. I just wrote about him too:

yeah, I agree – the 4 rules are pretty good. I think, with the exception of his hypnotherapy techniques, most of what I heard him say is recycled Geneen Roth. As you say, people do need to get better acquainted with their own minds – they might be surprised!
